Routine wellness visits are important for your child’s health and well being. Starting at birth, your Pediatrician will see your child at specific intervals to do their best to ensure that your baby grows into a happy and healthy young adult.
Wellness visits are recommended at the following ages:
- Newborn (nursery discharge follow up)
- 2 weeks old
- 1 month
- 2 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 9 months
- 12 months
- 15 months
- 18 months
- 24 months
- 30 months
- 3 years old and yearly thereafter until 18-19 yrs of age
Wellness visits are vital to monitor your child’s growth, development, physical and mental health and often help Pediatricians diagnose chronic issues early, before they become more of a problem for your child.
Wellness visits at certain ages will include screening labs to monitor for conditions such as anemia, lead toxicity, high cholesterol and other conditions, depending on the child.
Wellness visits will also include routine vaccinations at certain ages. Please visit Our Services page to see a list of wellness visits and recommended vaccines and labs at each age. Parsi Pediatrics follows CDC and AAP guidelines regarding vaccinations.
